NATIONWIDE ALERTS · YOU BOOK DIRECTLY
Pin one site. Or every waterfront site with a 35-ft driveway — anywhere in the country. Campsite Sniper watches every Recreation.gov campground, plus Oregon's state parks, and pings you the second a match opens, so you can snag the spot you thought you'd lost.
Every alert is a real, bookable spot. We check the reservation rules before we ping you, and the push lands the moment a match opens. We alert, you book. Campsite Sniper never books, holds, hoards, or resells reservations — you complete every reservation yourself on Recreation.gov.

Campgrounds watched, nationwide
A cancellation means a site opened up fewer than 60 days before the camping date. Recreation.gov's scheduled inventory releases have much longer lead times, so they are excluded — these are spots someone actually gave back. Counted from our own detections, measured to Aug 17, 2026 . An alert is “raised” the moment a camper's watch matches an opening; 1,226 of those have gone out in a push we confirmed was delivered. We publish both rather than the flattering one.

SECTION 02 │
─── AUTO CART ───
A cancellation can be gone in seconds. Auto Cart is optional: turn it on and, when you tap an alert, it has the cart ready by the time you get there. You still review it and you still check out yourself on Recreation.gov.
What it does
› Prepares your Recreation.gov cart for the opening you tapped
› Runs on your device, with your credentials staying on your device
› Buys you the minutes that decide whether you get the site
What it never does
× Never submits payment or confirms a reservation
× Never books, holds, or hoards inventory on its own
× Never resells a reservation to anyone
// Why this exists
Not a specific campground — just somewhere on a lake or a river in Oregon, on a weekend I actually had free. That turned out to be shockingly hard. Recreation.gov and the state-park sites can tell you everything about a campground you already know the name of. What they can't tell you is "which of the hundreds of sites in Oregon are on the water — and which of those are open this weekend." So I did it by hand. I spent hours, then more hours, hunting down every waterfront campground I could find, noting which specific sites actually backed up to the water, keeping it all in a spreadsheet. And because availability changes by the minute, the list was never enough — I had to go back and check every one, over and over, hoping a spot opened before someone else grabbed it.
So I built the tool I wished existed: something that kept the list for me, watched every one of those waterfront sites at once, and told me the second one came open. It started with 22 Oregon lakes. That tool became Campsite Sniper. It doesn't watch 22 lakes anymore — it watches the entire country: every Recreation.gov campground coast to coast, plus Oregon's state parks, with more states on the way. Waterfront, your dates, your rig — you describe the trip, and it does the hunting. You never build the list. You never refresh the page. You just get the spot.

─── FAQ ───
Who this isn't for: if you camp outside the US, need hotels or flights, want something to book and pay on your behalf, or are looking for a guaranteed reservation, this is the wrong tool. Campsite Sniper watches Recreation.gov and Oregon state parks, tells you the second a match opens, and stops there — you book it yourself.
~/CAMPSITE-SNIPER/SUPPORT — FAQ.LOG ● 11 ENTRIES
Do you book campsites for me?
No. Campsite Sniper sends alerts and links to Recreation.gov. Optional Auto Cart can prepare the selected cart after you tap an alert, but it does not submit payment, confirm a booking, hoard inventory, or resell reservations. You review and finish checkout yourself on Recreation.gov.
What is Auto Cart?
Auto Cart is an optional on-device helper. If you enable it, your Recreation.gov credentials stay on your device and the app can prepare a cart for the opening you tapped. It never completes checkout or confirms a reservation.
Is this allowed by Recreation.gov?
We monitor public availability in a paced way, identify our agent, and back off when asked. We're not scalpers: we notify you when a site you specifically chose becomes available, and you still book on Recreation.gov yourself.
04
How fast will I get the alert?
As fast as we can detect inventory and route the notification — typically a push on your phone within seconds of detection. Hot inventory gets the fastest cadence we run, and we don't publish exact intervals because we're constantly tuning them.
05
Will this guarantee I get a campsite?
No. We give you fast notice, not a guarantee. Popular sites like Yosemite Upper Pines on a holiday weekend can still get claimed quickly. But you'll be in the running, instead of refreshing manually at 7am.
06
What if I don't get a site after a month?
Refund within 30 days, prorated to the day. One click in your account settings or one email to refund@campsitesniper.com. No questions, no forms, no chat bot.
07
How many sites can I watch?
Free: 3 active watches. Pro: 50 active watches. Each watch can target a single campground or an area covering multiple campgrounds — Pro watches get a much larger coverage budget than Free.
08
Can I monitor a whole region with filters, or only specific campgrounds?
Both. Pin a single campground and lock on, or draw a region across multiple parks and stack filters — lakefront, riverfront, oceanfront, RV/trailer length, electric/water/sewer hookups, loop preferences, weekend nights, exact or at-least stay length. Example: "All lakefront sites with a 35ft+ driveway in central Oregon, Friday–Sunday." That resolves to dozens of sites across multiple campgrounds and counts as one watch. Pro's coverage budget is large enough to cover most regional sweeps.
09
What's the 7-day Pro trial?
Sign up after creating your first watch and you get 7 days of full Pro capabilities, no charge. The trial auto-renews into paid Pro at $4.99/month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends — same as any App Store / Play Store subscription. Saved watches stay yours either way.
10
Do you sell my data?
Never. We don't have ad partners, we don't sell to brokers, and we don't track you across the web. Auto Cart credentials, if enabled, stay on your device. Your account exists to deliver alerts and that's the whole product.
11
Why is the app dark and weird looking?
Because it's a precision instrument, not a vacation planner. We assume if you're here, you've already lost a campsite to someone faster than you. We made the tool to fix that — not to replace dreaming about the trip.
